Have you been searching for petite designer jeans? Up until recently, that was almost mission impossible. Joe’s Jeans was the first designer to jump in last season with their Provocateur style made especially for petites (not just a short length version of their regular styles). Now there are many options to fit a range of petite body types. Other brands now available in petites are Seven for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Chip & Pepper, and Paige Premium Denim. Of all the items of clothing, swimsuits are perhaps the most difficult to find in true petite sizes. Most retailers just don’t carry them. Of course you can always look for a two piece with a top that has a halter tie or ajustable straps.

Those of you who used to shop at Petite Sophisticate may be interested to know that a new owner has begun to open stores again and has unveiled a new web site. Petite Sophisticate is the nation’s only retailer to exclusively sell fashions for petites, offering its entire petite collection in sizes 0P-14P.

The addition of Petite Sophisticate into the petite market comes at a time when many department stores have dropped or scaled back their offerings of petite clothing. Under the new ownership of Charming Shoppes, Petite Sophisticate is making a bid to fill the market void as it opens stores across the country.
